IYRES di Asia Urban Youth Assembly (AUYA), Melaka
MELAKA, 25TH - 27TH MAC 2017 - Institute for Youth Research Malaysia (IYRES) participated in Asia Urban Youth Assembly (AUYA) held at Hatten Hotel, Melaka as an exhibitor throughout the program. Among the materials that have been a hit with the participants were IYRES’s publications, data collection system via Ydata@IYRES and registration for e-belia. IYRES took this opportunity as a platform to engage and highlight IYRES' functions to the society on national and international level. AUYA was organized in conjunction with the 17th international Convention on Melaka Twin Cities 2017 and to commemorate the Anniversary for The Declaration of Melaka as a Historical city.
IYRES also created several potential networks from local and international agencies that is expected to empower and enhance research for youth development in Malaysia as well as expanding the IYRES brand itself.
AUYA was organized by The AUYA's theme for this year is "Youth Role Towards New Urban Agenda - Taking Action for Innovative, Socially Minded, Green Cities" with the presence of participants from over 20 countries that reviewed and discussed their contributions towards New Urban Agenda of the United Nation Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). AUYA was organized by Melaka Historic City Council in collaboration with Ministry of Youth and Sports, United Nations Habitat, UN Youth and World Assembly of Youth. YB Brig. Jen. Khairy Jamaluddin, Minister of Youth and Sports officially closed the assembly on 27th March 2017.
