IYRES @ MELAKA FOR KUALA LUMPUR 2017 BATON RUN & FITMALAYSIA

MELAKA, 20TH MAY 2017 – The heavy rain on Saturday did not hinder participants and event-goers from Kuala Lumpur 2017 Torch Run and FitMalaysia Melaka. Institute for Youth Research Malaysia (IYRES) got the chance to be at the event and undertake FitMalaysia’s Effectiveness Research as well as gathering information for National Youth Profile (PBN). This research aims to garner insights and opinions from society towards FitMalaysia program while PBN’s collection was to strengthen the existing Youth Database for the wellbeing of Malaysian youth.
The highlight of the event was the SEA Games’ torch was brought to Restoran Melayu Melaka Square by YB Datuk Roslan Ibrahim, Melaka’s Finance Officer with the rest of the runners. YB Datuk Roslan also visited IYRES’ booth accompanied by Dato' Lokman Hakim, Secretary General for Ministry of Youth and Sports. A quick brief were given by Mr. Mohd. Rizal Mohd. Sham, IYRES Research Executive dan Mr. Shah Romnizam Ramli, IYRES Statisticians.
