KUALA LUMPUR, 5 DECEMBER 2012 - Ministry of Youth and Spots Malaysia in plan build volunteer academy to create awareness among the youth in Malaysia.

Hon. Senator Gan Ping Sieu, Deputy Minister of Youth and Sports said “Last year the Ministry introduced iVolunteer as the platform for youth to participate in volunteering and we are aiming only one million youth will participate as volunteers but now there are one and half million already registered”.

He added “Before this, there are no right platforms for youth to participate as volunteer, now many platforms for volunteering such as Vyrec, MyCorp, iM4U and iVolunteer”.

He officiated the International Conference on Youth Volunteers as Enablers for Conflict Prevention, organized by International Youth Center (IYC) and Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM).
